Pictures, Pictures and MORE Pictures!

I've got tons-o-pics to share today. We've had a busy week and weekend :) I made some yummy lemon sponge cakes that I was kind of proud of because I've never made a sponge cake before. They got the Princess seal of approval...

We also had an interesting looking visitor in our home. Not sure where he flew in from but I've lived in central Arkansas all my life and I've never seen one like this. Check out our bug! Anyone know what he or she is?

 Also, last but not least, Memorial Weekend. Every year on Sunday night after services for the last few years my dad heads up a burger and hot dogs cookout. Big Daddy, and a few other men, help out. Some of the ladies bring wonderful desserts! I attend worship with some of the best southern cooks! We talk and laugh, the kids play, and we eat til we drop! It's a great time!

This is where we had some redneck fun after cleaning up.This is Arkansas Ice Skating in May! Featuring "The Princess" as our flip flop skating star! You might be a redneck if your kid has ever "ice skated" in a pile of ice dumped out of a cooler next to a cook trailer. Yes Jeff Foxworthy you can use that one!
