Things I've said:

I can't count how many times I've said: "K, take the toy out of your mouth it's not good to chew on those things"

"Princess, don't try to pick your brother up"... she was using his ankels as the grab point for this...

"No, I'm sorry we can't have chocolates for breakfast" Even though inside I'm thinking to myself it would be great! But the sugar rush that would overtake four children after that would make that tsunami in India look like the wave pool at a water park!

"Prince, do not put the rolls of toilet paper in the potty"

I think I've given a play by play of may day to the Princess because I think I have answered "whatchado'n?" at my every turn.

"Mommy lets go see the big ocean and Memaw and Pepaw's big boat!" "I'm sorry Princess we can not go to the ocean at Alaska and see Memaw and Pepaw's big boat." Princess: "Why not Mommy?" Me: It's not just a long drive baby. It's a long drive, a long airplane ride, i think a boat ride, and then a long drive again. It doesn't just happen in one day, and we can't leave our friends here by themselves!" A puzzled and pondering look comes across her face, " well we will just have to take our friends with us!" *insert my deep sigh here*

"Mommy why can't we run with the sticks?" - after I've told them several times not to run with them- "Because you will hurt yourself." The princess of course asks.... "why?". "you could poke your eye out!" The Princess: " Well I would just have to put it back in!"

One day I think I'll just put out a tape recorder and replay it at the end of the day. It's amazing some of the things I find myself saying or explaining. Have a good one everyone! TGOF tomorrow!
