Weekend in Review

All in all a good uneventful weekend.Sunday I slept too much after services. Saturday, Big Daddy was on duty. So since the house was pretty clean and the shopping was done... hmmm no where to go... Let's make bread!?! I received a sourdough cookbook as a gift, so last week I made the starter. This alone must sit for at least 4 days before you can make use of it. So Saturday, five days later, I decided to see if I had done the starter right and could make sourdough bread. To anyone who's never done this it is an on and off all day process. Naturally I had the best help in the world! The princess was my big helper and the prince did his best to pull every bowl out of the cabinets while we worked! He was fairly successful. Our bread however was totally successful! We enjoyed grilled ham and cheese sandwiches Sunday on our bread, and also had enough to share at dinner with the in laws! It was yummy, and worth the work. I said it'll be a while before I do that again and Big Daddy pouted, so I guess I may need to suck it up and do it sooner than later. Next time I'm gonna make him help. Ha ha!

It's Alive!

It's Finally Bread!!!!!
