TGOF

Ok, here I go again sending out my thankfulness into the internet abyss.

  • I am thankful for Bargains Galore on 64 bc I hopefully will get rid of some of my clutter and hopefully will NOT bring in anymore.... for a while at least.
  • I am thankful for snugies and sugies and the insight God seems to give children to let them know to give them right when you really need them!
  • I am thankful for a sense of humor, with out it I could not make it though the day!
  • I am thankful for the "If You Give a Mouse a Cookie" book. We've been reading and doing activites based from it... it's included making cookies :) that's never a bad thing!
  • I am thankful our friends got to come over for supper this week and I hope we can do it again really soon!
Have a great weekend everyone! And if you are reading this and also have been or will be partaking in the "Bargains Galore" please remember to be safe on the road! It's still a major highway and not everyone is wanting to go 35 mph in a 55 mph zone to "scan" the sale before you decide if you want to stop. I can't tell you how many close calls I've seen in last couple of days! If you want to check the sale: STOP and check it, don't come to a sudden creeping mode ON the highway! If you want to turn in, slow down, use a blinker, and turn. Don't slam on your breaks! If you've "almost" missed it, then consider it missed and find a safe place to turn around. How silly is it to consider that even the most slight of fender benders could end up costing you or the other drivers at the very least $1000 in repairs to stop at a yard sale where the most "expensive" items are usually under $25. I see people with those angels on their visors that say "Protect me on the road" or something like that, and bumper stickers that say "Jesus is my passenger". That's a nice sentiment and I'm all for it, but could you make room for common sense, take perspective and precaution with you when you drive... since Jesus is "in" the passenger seat, the bargains are in the back, the angel is on the visor...maybe put it in the cup holder....
