This last few weeks have held a lot of sorrow. Sudden sorrow. As you know a former coworker lost his life to an auto accident recently. Then this week the Air Evac crew. My husband knew them all and was close with one of them. So it's been hard on him, and as his helpmate it's been hard. I just read the blog of my M&M and she's experiencing losses around her through her friends also. It seems like when Death takes the time to come around, he lingers.
So this week I am thankful:
- to be alive!
- to have a great family
- for the doctors and nurses tending to my Granny. At he young age of 94, almost 95, she is experiencing some blood clotting issues.
- for our community. The area we live in is still "small town USA". It's a good and a bad thing sometimes. Everybody knows your business, sometimes they THINK they know it better than you do even. Also, it's small town mentality that keeps MOST of the community acting like neighbors. The reaction and support that poured into our town recently was amazing and reassuring that God is still working through so many.
- for the rain! Finally a little sprinkle has been hoovering around us since this morning and it's so nice!
- we are already packed! Just a few items of this and that's like hairbrushes and such and we will be out the door tomorrow for our trip!
