Hair!

My hair needs help! I'm at this medium length now, and I want to let it grow long again, but I cant do a thing with it! Hurumph. It's got some layers in it right now. (see profile pic) I don't know I feel like it's just boring. I'm tempted to go short again, or shorter, just out of boredom ha ha! I need some suggestions...
