Southern Bell

I smile when I want to scream
I stand tall and never sloutch when I'm thinking about hiding under a rock
I giggle when I want to cry
I host dinner when I want to sleep
My temper rarely flares to high, but if my eye brow arches... Hide.
I do laundery, clean house, make plans, run business all with children at my feet
I stop my chores and educate my children, because they are mine
I cook big buttery dinners that my waitstline knows I shouldn't eat
I do my hair big to distract from the bags under my tired eyes
I have stories I'd never tell anyone, I'd never embarrass myself like that
I refrain from say'n words my mother wouldn't let me say, even when I'm grown
I make a penny strectch like it's a hundred or so more
If you here me say "Bless Your Heart", then pray for your self
I say I'll pray for you AND MEAN IT
I wear a cross sometimes not to seem self righteous but to remind me of my place in His plan
I stand beside my husband not behind him. To support, to love because God made us one.
You may hear Southern Bell and think of Scarlet, I hear it and reply "Yes ma'am, with all my heart."
