Thank God ON Friday

Friday! Time to reflect on the week that has flown by and count a few blessings. Sometimes life just whizzes by at a few hundred miles per hour and I don't stop and give thanks as often as I should. This is my attempt to make a better habit. Here's my list for the week, and I would love to hear back from anyone and everyone with something you're thankful for.

• I am thankful for those few minutes with just the Princess I get some mornings. Mornings like this morning. We got about ten minutes of just me and the princess still in our jammies. Myself with my coffee, the Princess with her smoothie drink, nick jr on the television, snuggled up on "mommy's  side" of the bed.
• I am thankful for the book I'm reading now, "Love is a Decision". I'm only about half way through, but so far it's a good book. The author has called me out on some bad habits of mine, but provides solutions that are doable. It's a great book for encouragement to couples through the best manual out there, God's word.
• I am thankful for the post a friend of mine put on her blog. It gave a good review to "Julie&Julia" and gave me the nudge to watch it. I'm so glad I did. It's a somewhat simple movie, but it was still a good one. I really want Julia Child's cookbook, book, and the book that inspired the movie.... that's a lot of reading. I don't think I'll ever cook every recipe in it, as was the main characters goal, but there are a few that would be an adventure. Also, my friend just turned thirty, and well... it's knocking on my door to the rythem of only two years away. So to anyone on the cusp, to that point, or looking back on it watch this movie! I myself am no where near where I thought I would be at almost thirty. Which leads me to my next "thankful for"
• I am thankful that God has the big picture and not me. Life has taken some twists, turns, and just down right tornado changes. I wouldn't do it any other way. This is God's will and I'm just gonna hang on and be thankful for the ride.
