Randomness

My thoughts are not very collected today, but I'm slightly known among friends and family for being a little random. So here are my raw random thoughts, enjoy!

Things said or heard today:
The Princess comes running into the kitchen to me with a wad of wet clothing.
The Princess: "Mommy! He put my shorts in the potty!" He being the Prince.
Me: "OH NO! Wait, had you gone potty already?"
The Princess: "No not yet".
Since she had been in there a couple of minutes, I just had to ask.
Me: "What were you doing with your pants off? You said you needed to pee?"
The Princess: "I do need to pee Mommy. But I had to dance in the shower first"

I've never had the urge to just step into an open, dry shower and dance. I suppose today my daughter did.

Today the shower was also used to rotate three of the four kids into the shower for a rinse off since they got so dirty outside it was UNAVOIDABLE. They had to be washed, their clothes had to be washed, and then the shower had to be washed.

Me to "E": "Please don't put the beads up your nose. It scares me and it makes the beads germy"

Me to "K": "The crayons are not to eat." Violet was her preferred "flavor" today.

Also, a habit has formed in my household. As you all know, Big Daddy is a fireman. Most people know they are on rotating shifts so that they are on duty typically 24 hours and then "off duty" for an amount of time between. I put quotations around "off duty" because if any of you know firemen they typically have a second job or own a flexable business of some kind. They may not be at the station but they typically are not "off work". During this 24 hours the Big Daddy is gone a new habit has formed in the Princess.
She has always enjoyed "Daddy's Chair". Most would enjoy this chair. It's a chair and a half, fluffy, micro-sued so it's soft, recliner. It is also located for the "best seat in the house" for the T.V. We may have to rename the chair to Daddy's and Princess' Chair. She has taken over the chair in his absence. Maybe it's because she misses him so she curls up in his chair, maybe it's because it's big and comfy, but what I do know for certain is I don't get to get in it! Red kind of likes getting the Daddy Chair when there's no Big Daddy too, so I guess I'll just wait my turn. Which would be bed time... wait I don't get to sit down until then anyways... so I suppose it works out.

It maybe the lovely crispy fried sunburn I have that's keeping me from collecting my thoughts. I mowed the lawn! Yep, me, I mowed the lawn. For those of you that know Big Daddy, the lawn is his domain. The man loves mowing. It's a good thing since we have a good size yard. Unfortunately he's not had much time to do anything but change clothes and go to one work or the other. So in an effort to be helpful and show appreciation for how hard he works I took on the lawn! It took a couple of days to complete since I have to wait until the kids aren't running around, but I got it done! I mowed a little one evening and that went fine until it was dark enough for the spiders to start building in the trees... Oh I say NAY NAY! I don't do spiders. So the next day, in the middle of the day, I jump on the mower and try to complete the task so that it's done before Big Daddy gets home! What did I forget? Sunscreen. Yep, this REDHEAD didn't wear sunscreen or block. So what happens to a redhead, in the middle of the day, on a mower, with no sunblock? No this isn't a duck walks into a bar kind of joke or a brainteaser folks! The redhead burns!!!! So the redhead is a little whinny about it, and distracted and so I blame the sunburn for the random uncollected blog you've taken part in. Thanks for hang'n in there with me! It's TGOF tomorrow so tune in tomorrow for more. Hopefully it won't be so random.
