Yes, something I said prompted a two blogs in one day moment.
I guess this is number 7, maybe it should be 6 and a half because I only thought of it just now because of my rambling number 6. I am thankful for all those that say I'm nuts, give me funny looks, or even make not so nice comments about the not so typical lifestyle a firefighter family leads with the head of your household not avaliable every third day. I am thankful for all of those because you make me want to be even stronger, even better, you make me even more proud of my family. To those of you I say: What I do every third day is nothing in comparison to those family of service members in the war. So I am thankful to know that ,Lord willing he ends his shift in good health, he's coming home. One day at a time is nothing in comparison to those that just don't know when they may or may not come home.
To those of you that make the nicer comments, such as " You must be one strong lady", or " one tough gal". Thank you. I am by no means very strong but the compliments are wonderful to hear. It's funny that when you're living that life of a firefighter's wife, you don't really look at it the way someone else might. Big Daddy has been a volunteer firefighter since high school, and now is a career firefighter. So it's always been a part of us. It's nice to be reminded that we are all different and lead our lives in different ways and paths. What seems so "normal" to me may seem strange or difficult to others and vis versa. It makes life interesting. Well, that's all my blog readers. A couple of rambles and two blogs later I'm gonna give my typing fingers a break and go back to getting ready for this weekend. <3
