Date Night Review

We really did get a date night! We really did get to eat somewhere that had NO kid's menu! Thanks to lovely gift certificate from my parents we ate at Michelangelo's. If you have not been, GO GO GO!!! I'll admit, on our budget, we typically would not have gone there. It is higher in the price range than we would typically go, but with a gift card footing the bill we went for it! And man o man am I so glad we did. You're next date night, special occasion, pleaseeeeee just try to go! It was wonderful all around! I don't think I've EVER eaten at a restaurant that was the full package. Nothing went wrong, no one was rude, it was all fabulous! The service was amazing! They actually HAVE manners AND use them! The food.... oh my the food... there aren't words out there to describe the awemazderful food! (So there! I made one up!) We ordered an appetizer of these crispy puffs filled with cream cheese and crab with a homemade sweet and sour sauce. Big Daddy had a rib eye you could cut with a fork it was so tender and seasoned perfectly, it came with potatoes au-gratin, and steamed veggies. He was nice enough to share ONE bite of each and I'm thinking I was lucky to get that much. I ordered a Lobster Ravioli that if I had not feared looking like a total redneck I would have taken a picture. It LOOKED beautiful. Large raviolis in a circle on the plate, stuffed with a lobster stuffing, topped with shrimp, scallops, muscles, diced tomatoes, scallions, and spices all swimming in a buttery sauce. Even the caesar salad was exceptional and the bread! We were ohhhhh so very stuffed, so we ordered cheesecake slices to go. I ordered a chocolate cheese cake that was like a creamy cloud of chocolate... I think when I bit in to it time stopped! Even in a little to go styrofoam container they had placed little chocolate flakes for presentation. If you are ever in that area of Arkansas make a stop there! It's worth it!
